The International Affairs and Business Development Unit develops and manages international agreements with countries that have a friendly relationship with California in order to promote economic cooperation to further expand California trade and investment.

International agreements are bilateral or multilateral accords meant to express mutual cooperation for a common goal undertaken by two or more parties. In many instances, the agreements deal specifically with economic cooperation to expand trade and investment. The following international agreements were signed during the Brown Administration and have been assigned to GO-Biz as the responsible agency for implementation.
